I get Amazing Computing, so I'm not worried. But I imagine some poeple
*can't* get it.
Maybe you could do a 1> DIR > CONTENTS OPT A (or whatever) and post that...

1196.2 | Fish Disks on the NET? | DPDMAI::ANDERSONA | | Sun Feb 28 1988 16:24 | 15 |
| You mentioned in .0 that there were fish disk on the net. I havent
bought my Amiga yet but I can start collecting programs on Rainbow
floppys and then transfer them from my rainbow to the Amiga later.
There are a couple of notes mentioning some download directories.
Note 450 mentions AUTHOR::USER:[MACDONALD.PUBLIC.AMIGA] but when
I try a directory the job aborts. I am on a all-in-one system
and cannot get to DCL the system manager has left us with a small
hole that we can use if we don't abuse it. But I dont get the normal
VMS error messages. It could be that I just happened to try while
the system or path to that system was down. Are those files still
there? Or have they been moved.
Thanks
Alan

1196.4 | Fish Disks in mvcad3 (along with a lot more) | PUERTO::ALVAREZ | Miguel,from sunny Puerto Rico | Sun Feb 28 1988 21:26 | 10 |
| Re. 3
Uploaded Fish Disks can be found at mvcad3::user0:[amiga.xxx],
where xxx stands for the subdirectory where the files are located.
Do a "$ dir mvcad3::user0:[amiga]ff*.dir" for a list of all those
that are available. There is also a "readme" file (don't remember
the exact name), that explains how to (after dowloading to your
Amiga) restore the disk and all its programs.
