Greetings, I am into home video and after buying 'Videomaker' have seen that the Amiga finally has Genlock. I'm looking to see what kind of things people have been able to do with the Amiga and video and what kind of results they get. So, give me a small report. mark PS I'm in Ottawa, Canada and am looking for someone with an Amiga to give me a demo (not necessarily with video). PPS I have a Sony 8mm camcorder & Tuner/Timer, HF900 VCR, Sansui AV99 SEG

I don't have a genlock, but I did see it demoed at the MARCA show before Commodore finally shipped it. I liked the reasons they gave for buying a genlock. 1. so you can watch the Celtics game without straining your neck flipping between a TV and Amiga. 2. he pointed the camera at a small child in the 2nd or 3rd row, then started up DeluxePaint, added a couple new features to the face on the screen. Didn't take too long before the child noticed who was on the screen. -dave | |||||

What is the minimum hardware to do any serious home video? Can i do this sort of thing with an Amiga 500 (1Meg,1 floppy) + genlock + software? Should i subscribe to AmaigaWorld, or is there a better magazine for the home video buff? mark |
