1134.0. "HANDSHAKE VT102/100/52 Emulator" by LEDS::ACCIARDI () Thu Feb 04 1988 16:52
Out of curiosity I downloaded the 'Handshake' VT102/100/52 emulator
last night. It's actually a very nice job, worth checking out. It
uses overscan to achieve a very readable 132 column display. 48
lines are also supported. It has auto-redial selection, Icon saves
of any parameter files you may have, and programmable function keys.
It also has Xmodem, Ymodem, Kermit, blah blah...
One thing I like is that it's custom fonts for double-height characters
are imbedded in the executable, so you don't have to add a bunch
of extra fonts to your system disk.
I only wish it had an 'Iconify!' feature. That sets Smokey apart
from the rest. Someone should pass a law requiring that all programs
residing on custom screens can be Iconified. I want my precious
CHIP ram free when it's not being used.
Anyway, look in LEDS3::USER6:[ACCIARDI.AMIGA]HANDSHAKE.ARC
This is shareware, so if you decide to keep it, you are morally
obligated to send the author a donation.

Does anyone have any idea what's involved in this? I'd love to be
able to do this with Smokey.

| That's for sure! It would be GREAT if Smokey's fonts were internal!!!
