Perhaps with the Christmas season over and the 1000+1000 trade in
deal expired, we can look forward to A2000 deals in the form of
    lower prices.

Seems like with home computers, wait a while and everything (except
    1MB DRAM chips) gets cheaper.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get the best deal on
    a 2000 or a 500. I believe I have settled on one of these vs a II/GS.

Where you buy your machine will largely depend on how much support
you need. If you go mail order, you should be able to get a 1 meg
A500 with monitor for under $1000, but don't expect to get much
    hand holding.

For great service, try the Memory Location in Wellesely MA. I don't
know where you're located, but they are a veritible candy store
for Amiga products. You can test drive anything in the store before
    you buy it.

The Software Shop in Worcester has a huge selection of software
and hardware, and the prices are a bit lower on software, but you
won't be able to 'try before you buy'.

Abel Supply has the rock bottom prices on all Amiga items, but they're
    strictly mail order.

You could find the phone numbers and/or addresses of any of these
shops by searching this notesfile by title.

Just out of curiosity, what is the going price for a ][GS these
days? I suspect it can't hold a match to the A500 for value/dollar.
