There was something on usenet about an offer by OKI semiconductor
in the Dec 10, 1987 issue of EDN. They were offerring 1M DRAMs in
sets of 9 for $189. You could buy a maximum of three sets. Although
the ad said the offer expired on the 31st, the usenet entry said
that if you called them it was probable they would allow you to
participate. Good price for these - $21 each.
