1006.1 | A couple of suggestions | NAC::PLOUFF | LANsman Wes | Wed Dec 23 1987 09:36 | 13 |
| Two easy methods which may work:
1) Get the Amiga 5.25" drive. On your Extras v1.2 disk are utilities
to format the bigger floppies IBM style and copy back and forth
between Amiga 3.5" and IBM 5.25" formats.
2) Upload the files to somebody's PC, or upload to an Easynet node,
then copy using a VAXmate to a pre-formatted 5.25" disk. Note:
the VAXmate cannot reliably format XT-style 360 KB diskettes. There
may also be some utility for the Rainbow.
For either method you probably want to use the text filter to change
Amiga LFs to MS-DOS CR-LF pairs.

1006.2 | Think so | VTHRAX::KIP | | Wed Dec 23 1987 09:38 | 4 |
| I may be able to help. I have the Amiga 5-1/4" external drive and
the Enhancer software to copy files between IBM PC and Amiga floppies.
Not sure what you mean by "little" and "big" IBM disks. Send me
Email if I can help.

1006.3 | Clarification | VTHRAX::KIP | | Wed Dec 23 1987 09:40 | 5 |
| Clarifying .2:
Got the impression that it was an emergency and you needed a particular
report copied ASAP. If you want the *ability* to do it, .1 sounds
right to me.

1006.4 | Dos-to-Dos | LEDS::ACCIARDI | | Wed Dec 23 1987 11:07 | 5 |
| A commercial product called Dos-to-Dos can directly read and write
IBM and Atari ST 3 1/2" formats using the standaard Amiga floppies.

1006.5 | What you need is a real answer | CSSE::WARD | | Wed Dec 23 1987 13:24 | 9 |
| An excerpted review of DOS-to-DOS is in note 424. It covers
situations and uses thereof against the 1.2 utility.
As a new owner of WP, I bought an additional reference manual that
has a paragraph or two on a convert program for IBM and clones.
I would call the support number first. If you don't get a clear
answer I'd be more than happy to work out a solution with you since
I've got some additional sources and a need to know.
