Although I've tried everything I could think of, I have been unable to get anywhere past the second screen (showing the statue in front of the chamber) in Arazok's Tomb. I've taken the loose belt jewel, but have not been able to figure out if it's necessary to somehow use it to proceed. I've recently read a bad review of this adventure game, in which the author states that the command parser is "unsophisticated" and is very fussy about how commands are worded. I've managed to "see" the path "leading within the chamber walls", but can't seem to make the parser understand that I want to go in. Has anyone out there been able to get past the statue? If so, I would appreciate any hints you could supply. Thanks!

I have it. I agree the command parser is somewhat unsophiscated, but I think that the human interface is amiga'ed pretty well. Try clicking on items in the inventory list and you will notice that they appear in the command window as if you typed them.. Simple idea. But is pretty nifty. brad(ley | ) two spoilers follow. If you want more ask and ye shall recieve... Spoiler 1: Have you noticed that the statue has a jewel in one of its eyes? Spoiler 2: Insert the jewel from the belt into the empty eye socket. | |||||

Thanks for the "spoiler". That was enough to get me far enough into the game (in the room with "not enough power") to find out that my disk (original and copies made from it) has a read - write error! Oh well... (Now, wait a minute, if this requestor's built in, I don't even *want* to play...) Thanks again for the help. |
