914.0. "Invoking Solitaire, how?" by SIMUL8::STOLLER (Voice, Catch The Wave) Thu Nov 19 1987 16:54

Has anyone attempted to download and use the SOLITAIRE.ARC?
I downloaded successfully, dearc'd apparently successfully
and got one file: Solitaire So, I say Solitaire to CLI
while in the proper directory. "Can not find Solitaire"
Yes, I spelled it right. So, I type: run Solitaire. Error 121.
Not an object file. (i think, something like that)

So... anyone know how to invoke this magical being?

    Thanx in advance.

I believe that SOLITAIRE is an AmigaBASIC program. Try LOADing
first, but you may have to load it into BASIC using the MERGE command,
because it may be in ASCII form. (See page 8-81 of the AmigaBASIC
    manual.)

Gary ( Re. .1) is right. You need to have AmigaBasic on the same
disk as solitaire and either click on it's icon or bring up Basic
    , LOAD solitaire and RUN.

    Good luck.

    MERGE?

ASCII or BINARY, you should only have to use the LOAD command.

Er...Uh...I'm not really much of a BASIC user. I wrote a checkbook
program in it 1.5 years ago and have been using Modula ever since.
    Sorry for any misleading information.
