910.0. "DEC DIRS WITH AMI PGMS ????" by USFHSL::SPATOULAS () Tue Nov 17 1987 14:43

	Since there is no keywords may be it is time to summerize
    	all the DEC nodes that have amiga pgms and are public.

    	I'm new @DEC and I enjoy very much these NOTES. I show there
    	is some talk about putting all AMI pgms in one place and I could
    	find it again.

    	COULD WE START USING THIS AS THE PLACE TO PUT THE LATEST INFO

    	  	ON THE DEC SUBDIRECTORIES THAT HAVE PGMS ????

    You must have read my mind. Over the weekend, I was making shopping
    trips into various directories; I had a heck of a time remembering
    or finding peoples hiding places. Dave Wecker, Scott Baeder, and
    Steve Peters are the most used directories, but there are lots of
    bargains to be found off the beaten track.

    So, my Amiga directory is in...

    LEDS3::USER6:[ACCIARDI.AMIGA]

    Working in Storage Systems, we naturally have a chronic shortage
    of disk space, so I usually only keep things for a week or so.

    YGDRSL::AMIGA: still has some stuff, although I haven't been
    updating it recently... the Real World demands Real Work and
    No Play :-(. There's also some stuff in the [.NEW] subdirectory
    that I haven't even looked at yet, I just defined a logical
    ANEW to point to it. Sorry you'll have to look in 2 places
    for a while. I'll clean up RSN... don't hold your breaths.
    I'll also probably move my comp.sys.amiga NOTESfile to Yggy
    sometime in the near future, hopefully before the new century.

    We just got an SA482 (2.x gigs) and it's waiting to be brought
    online, so stuff in my directory will stay probably forever
    (famous last words... betcha it gets filled up in a week!).

    And BTW the first person to make some stupid comment about
    my unspellable choice in nodenames will get him/herself
    permanently depermitted from making DECNET links to Yggy.
    Y'all got that? ;-)

    Since finally moving onto my own MVII system, I've pretty much quit
    using the cluster (MPGS::) except as a central place to get mail,
    etc....(just in case...)

    Look for all sorts of "goodies", ranging from copies of most of
    the arc files posted on the e-net [.arc], some of the fred fish
    disks (thanks to steve peters) [.ff???], and some stuff from usenet
    [.usenet]

    all this (and more ;-) can be yours for the price of a copy/download..

    look in  mvcad3::[amiga...]

    scott.
