835.1 | Small description of the PRODRIVE | SIMUL8::STOLLER | Voice, Catch The Wave | Mon Oct 26 1987 10:57 | 12 |
| Ok, I will answer my own question. I went down to the Memory Location
on Saturday. They had just received it three days earlier. They
had been using regularly for those three days with no problems.
The nice things about the drive are that it is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller,
than the 1010, I was told quieter, and less expensive (ABEL $176, ML: $225;
versus a 1010 @ ABEL:$198, ML:$250)
By smaller, I mean about 1.5" tall and a little less wide than the
1010.
FYI FWIW

| As stated in .1 (but I do not mind repeating myself) Memory Location
(ML) price is $225.

| The Software Shop price is $199.
This is the cutest little package I've ever seen. I think three
or four of them would fit inside of the standard Amiga 1010 enclosure.

| Does a ProDrive has a "flippy door" over the diskette slot?
Also, does the color of the front panel match the Amiga 2000?
What about mounting hardware as an A2000 internal drive? Is metal
mounting hardware supplied? Who manufactures it? NEC? ^

why does
this character keep appearing along with the message "Key NONAME
currently has no definition."

Yes.

It matches the A500 pretty close.

If your on a modem, in the editor it's probably noise taken as keystrokes
by the editor. It doesn't see it as a normal (printable) character, so it
assumes it's a command of some kind but can't find it in it's tables...
