744.0. "Amiga used in production of Max Headroom Series" by NSSG::SULLIVAN (Steven E. Sullivan) Fri Sep 25 1987 13:35

I was listening to NPR's "Morning Edition" an heard that the Max
Headroom productions use the Amiga for video work.... Just one more
hint at a very visible market niche.

Yes, they supposedly use them to create all the screen displays
on this year's episodes. They have several systems behind the scenes
    running everything.

I remember reading somewhere that they were able to save a tremendous
ammount of money doing it with Amigas.

At the end of each episode, the closing credits include a 'Computers
provided by Commodore-Amiga' or some such.

I was told by an advertising type that in general, a TV production
company will actually tape over or otherwise hide the name of a
product unless the manufacturer pays an 'endorsement' fee.

I do recall the AMAZING STORIES episode that had Amigas prominently
displayed all over the set. Each machine had a big black tape splotch
over the Amiga logo on the monitor and the CPU.

And then there is the video "Jammin' Me" where an Amiga gets paint
    squirted all over it...
