698.0. "Usenet " by CGOU01::DREW (Steve Drew) Fri Sep 11 1987 12:24

    Since a few of you of asked me to send out the Usenet stuff
    I have recieved. Rather than mailing the stuff out, I have
    made it available for copying. The files are broken up according
    to dates. The machine I uploaded them from does not reliably get
    all postings and some times it can easily miss a few days.
    I would recomend ignoring the oldest stuff, it is mostly
    ramblings about Leos wars with Pixar. There are no sources or
    programs in these files, just alot of continual rambling.
    But for those of you who get off on that stuff the files are
    available in

    re:.0

    many thanks, i did find a few things of interest buried under the
    usual usenet cruft. Truely amazing amount of noise, i'd forgotten
    how much disk space a month of usenet consumes.

698.3More!!CGOU01::DREWSteve DrewTue Sep 15 1987 00:4118
     More Usenet available (and I mean MORE!!!). I uploaded about
     900 blocks worth. This covers from where I left off Sep 5 to
     Sep 13th.

     The 2nd new file 'Usenet_Sep-6_Sep-7.txt' includes the latest
     fredfish listing for the new disks 90-101. Also there is a
     plan (schematic and code) for a batery backed up clock.

     Since these recent postings are quite large maybe someone
     else can provide a more central node to help distribute the
     load off our little micro vax II. When all you guys started
     copying the other day I got swapped out (permanently).

     Enjoy,

     Steve.

    My mistake the fred fish list is actually in file
    USENET_SEP-7_SEP-11.TXT.

    The 3 new files are:

    CGOU01::USENET:USENET_SEP-6_SEP-7.txt
    	           USENET_SEP-7_SEP-11.txt
                   USENET_SEP-12_SEP-14.txt

    Steve/everyone else,

    I'll copy all of them to a W:R area. Being in the midwest, I figure
    that I'm in between everybody (all you guys out east and on the
    west coast) Give me until tomorrow afternoon, and you guys can
    start copying. We have an 8600 so you won't really slow it down
    like a microvax.

    I am copying this stuff over (as soon as CGOU01:: comes back up)
    using spool, (FTSV) so keep trying to get it from the aforementioned
    directory.
