| I've got it. Make sure you get the newest version (I think it's
1.2). It allows you to run the program out of RAM:. The original
version writes to disk constantly, really slowing work down.
How is it? Pretty good. It takes a while to figure things out.
It uses a spreadsheet-like user interface. It runs in Lo-Res, but
only gives you 8 colors at a time on the screen.
There are a lot of neat functions that allow you to create interactive
videos, with simple branching from keyboard input.
The new version supports overscan mode, so your animation will fill
the screen. The new version also runs much faster and smoother.
You can load IFF pics and move them around as objects. there are
several different wipe-modes that allow you to wipe scenes from
one to another. You can incorporate sound effects or music too.
There is so much to describe here. You would be smart to check
it out at a store that will give you a demo, or look at some of
the public domain animations floating around.
Or give me a call...after DECWORLD.
