a couple new items in the Amazing Computing, Vol 2 #8, i got the
other day:
an ad from D-Five Associates, Bedford, Mass. (617-275-8892)
Says they are an authorized Commodore & Amiga service center,
"free estimates, no defects-no charge, we do warranty work !!,
we charge by the job, not by the hour"
Expansion Technologies has an ad for an Amiga 500 expansion,
$849 for the Escort System 500 that fits on top of the 500,
can support a monitor, has 2 Meg ram that can be upgraded to 4 Meg
and room for a hard drive and a second floppy drive.
J&C Electronics of Honolulu has an ad for "build your own 20 Meg
harddisk" based on the C Ltd. host adapter. They also are selling
"Kwickstart 1.2 rom board boots both rom & disk version of kickstart
via keyboard select"
The Central Coast Software ad now says "Transfer MS-DOS and Atari
ST files to and from your Amiga! reads/writes 3.5 Atari ST diskettes
(GEM format)"
In the CES and Comdex article is a picture of the new CBM managers
- Irving Gould, Al Duncan, and Richard McIntyre. Also a picture
of Maxine Headroom from the Digi-View booth.
