560.0. "Disney Style Animation? (not quite)" by HOUSE::FRACTAL () Mon Jun 22 1987 00:43
I sent away for the demo disk in Amiga World for the "Disney Animation
Package" I wasn't sure quite what to expect. It turns out that this
package is an "organic" animation package. This means that you can
construct smooth objects like animals , faces , etc. It shades using
a copyrighted technique called "Hashnique." It says it's a cross
between Gourad and vertex shading. Anyways, the demo is pretty nice.
this package supports independant and attached motion. The whole
package is 295$ and you need 1.5 megs. There is only one problem.
In the shading program, the author forgot to account for the "border
pixel color blend" of HAM mode. The result is a static effect on
the surface of objects. If somebody can find this demo a home, I
would be glad to upload it. Anybody?

| If you mean can someone store the file online for general retrieval
by everyone else, send me mail. I've got some room to stick it.
