491.0. "HD controller?" by ANYWAY::BROWN (The Universe, 11 dimensions??!!) Thu May 07 1987 11:10
I have a couple of segate st-506 drive which I want use for my amiga.
I have been pawing through various magazines looking products that
I could use to do this. To date I have not found anything.
What I had in mind was either, a) buying just a controller board
from some other disk product and connecting it to the drives or,
b) buying a scsi? controller board and an scsi adapter for the
drives.
I am open to suggestions or ideas. I would love to get these
disk hooked up the the amiga... Also, I am not above doing some
hardware hacks to get this working.

PAL from byte by byte uses a ST-506 controller. They sell the
controller ( Zorro I card ) alone.
A ASDG box ( 2 slot ) with a ASGD RAM card and a PAL disk
controller would make a great add-on.
