455.0. "EGAD DOCUMENTATION." by MQFSV1::LECOMPTE (Hubert Lecompte) Tue Apr 14 1987 12:10

    Hi everyone,

                I'm looking for the EGAD documentation.
    If anybody have it can you please make it available on the net.

                                  Thank You
                                  Hubert.

455.2SF Police Force Has Documentation?TLE::RMEYERSRandy MeyersThu Apr 16 1987 05:3414
Sorry, but I don't think any Egad! documentation exists. The fellows
that wrote it shoved the code out the door before any was written.

All that exists is: the code itself, a few reviews/bug reports, and a
few bug patches. For any more, we will have to see if Captain Crunch,
the main author of the code, convinces the police that he wasn't involved
the the BART ticket scam.

Yep, the author really is Captain Crunch, the fellow that became famous
by being able to place long distance phone calls not not get billed. One
of his tools was a whistle from a box of Captain Crunch cereal that could
produce a tone to cause phone switching systems to enter maintenance mode.

Amiga programmers are as colorful as their machines.

    EGAD = Gadget editor.
    Allows you to design your gadgets and get as output the
    C code to implement it. 'had no time to check it really, just played
    few minutes times ago. It's available ( for some more time) on

    Very little doc. Should also be on a fish disk (#46??).
