435.0. "ISAM packages??" by ECC::JAERVINEN (May all your loops be infinite) Fri Apr 03 1987 07:33

    Is there any (preferably PD or shareware) software to do

    1) ISAM file access (from a program [in C], not a full db system)

    2) screen handling, something like FMS/TDMS?

    What I'm looking for is something to use to write an application
    much in the same way as you would do on VMS using e.g. FMS and RMS.

435.1PANEL ?CELSST::FISHERJohn B. FisherSat Apr 04 1987 22:414
    I don't know that it is any good, but Lattice puts out the 'PANEL'
    product, which seems to fill in some of the needs for an FMS/TDMS
    product. But I doubt that it is an 'Amigatized' type of product,
    just form the description...

    Thanks. I happened to find a set of routines for ISAM access (in
    C) in the PC/Rainbow directory on MKTUP1. Haven't tried it out yet,
    though.

    BTW, if anyone is interested, there's some other C stuff also
    (obviously not Amigatized) but might still be interesting...
    the directory is MKTUP1::CC:

435.3ARC Source?GLASS::SHIVESFri Apr 10 1987 15:517

    Is there a version of ARC that runs on the VAX and is compatable
    with the .ARC files in MTKUP1::CC:? I would like to break up and
    look at the files prior to downloading to the Amiga. (It would be
    great if the same source file ran for both Amiga and Vax.)

    			Thanks, Mark

This program will read but not write so, will do what you want.
