| the editor's comment page has the justification for continuing the
Amiga vs. ST articles - potential customers need to hear the good
and the bad sides, even if its grossly misleading.

| Both Atari and COMMODORE are both missing the point(and the boat). Did
anybody notice the splash Apple is getting for a machine that costs
3!!! times as much and still no multi-tasking.
Atari and commodore should quit taking swipes and get back to the
marketing department and find a strategy.
Both companies are managing to keep thier stuff the best kept secret
in the computer world.
I still have to defend my purchase (till I give em a demo) of the
Amiga. I think I have the most functional personal workstation that
can be purchased in the micro market and it turns out to be the
least expensive!!! Hard to beleive that real value can be had in
this day and age.

maybe its fact that the new Apple costs 3 times as much... ibm and
Apple were still selling 8-bit machines for $1000+ last time i looked.
Either that is great marketing, or a very naive public.

Well, as an anxious customer who has to decide between the two
machines, I too need to hear more comparison. Price, multi-tasking,
graphics, speed - I need to hear it all.

| If you really do hear it all (the true version, not what an Atari
dealer will tell you) then there should be no contest whatsoever.
Unless price is your only concern. The ST is definately cheaper.

| re: .4
one suggestion - look at what is included in the cheapest model,
those are the limitations most 3rd party software is designed to run
with.
One exception (there are always exceptions) - Most Amiga 1000s are
now sold with 512K, 256K is just not enough memory for most commercial
software.
