Paul,
I successfully downloaded and deARCed CLUE.ARC, ZOING.ARC, and
REVERSI.ARC last night.
Took me a few minutes to figure out Clue but once I did I was really
surprised. Looks like someone spent some time on this. The graphics
are pretty good.
Clue.arc gave me some warnings with ARC22 but it extracted ok anyhow.
Thanks for the effort to make these available.
regards,
steve mcafee

| You are welcome. UEDIT.ARC was also reuploaded using Kermit.
Very sophisticated editor.

| Could you possibly post ARC22 in executable form. I can't dearc
anything because I don't have that yet. Thanks in advance and thanks
for posting those. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on UEDIT.
Being a new owner of the AMIGA, I just found out how BAD "ED" is.
Thanks again,
Chris

| I would like to make another plea for the un-arced copy of ARC22
to be posted. If anybody has it, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chris

I happen to have arc16.bin in
ant::bipolar:[smcafee.public]arc16.bin
You can download this and then use it to download arc22.arc.

AUTHOR::USER:[MACDONALD.PUBLIC.AMIGA]README.TXT
A2000.ARC A HI-RES B&W picture of the Amiga 2000 created with
DigiView. (from the March issue of Byte)
ARC22.ARC The latest version of ARC.
CALENDAR.ARC A neat Calendar utility.
CHFONT.ARC A font changer that can be run from your startup-sequence
file. Usage is CHFONT newfont_name.FONT
CLUE.ARC The fabulous who-dunnit game with exceptional graphics.
DISPLAY.ARC Allows you to display any IFF standard graphics on
screen, including HI-RES B&W and HAM.
DUIV.ARC Slick multifunction directory utility.
LOGO.ARC An implementation of LOGO for the Amiga.
MORE.ARC Handy utility for display text files in your current
CLI window, or from an icon. Let's you know how much
of the file you've read!
REVERSI.ARC What would life be without a talking game of REVERSI.
RSLCLK.ARC My favorite menu bar clock program that allows you
to display time, date, free chip and fast ram, free
disk space and much more. I would recommend resetting
the task priority to 0 after running the program. It
defaults to 20 which can interfere with other programs,
most notably AmigaBASIC (for some reason).
SHELL_205M.ARC Drew's Amiga shell program. Gives you the feel of VMS.
Be sure to download SHELL.DOC and README.205M.
STARCH.ARC A nice star chart and constellation identifier containing
a large database of star information. A "must have"
educational program.
TILT.ARC Every Amiga needs this one!
UEDIT.ARC A rather sophisticated text processor with more
commands than Wordstar! Even utilizes the Amiga's
voice synthesizer to tell you verbally when errors
have been made. The CHEAT-SHEET file is a quick
reference to all the commands and features.
VC.ARC A reasonable implementation of a spreadsheet that works!
ZOING.ARC Everyone's favorite. This one uses bouncing heads though!

| re .6:
I have tried unsuccessfully to extract MORE from the archive.
I can list the archive, which tells me I have one good component called MORE,
and another (I think zero length) bad one. But when I try to extract MORE
from the archive I always get the Guru.
Frustrating that a program like ARC lets itself be crashed by a garbaged file.
Has anyone succeeded in getting MORE out of the archive?
Paul
