312.0. "Where is my cursor?" by ECC::JAERVINEN (impersonal name) Mon Feb 09 1987 03:10
I tried writing a sort of a simple (but special purpose) terminal
emulator in Basic past weekend.
The program basically checks the serial interface and keyboard
with LOC(n) and uses INPUT$ to get a character.
It works perfect (the speed is only 1200 baud) but I have no
cursor... it seems to disappear if you do an INKEY$ or
INPUT$ (it is there if you do a plain INPUT).
Is there any cure?
(Eventually I will do all this in a real language, but I don't have
any compilers yet and am prototyping in Basic [yeecchh]).
