281.0. "SW sources/prices?" by ECC::JAERVINEN (impersonal name) Thu Jan 29 1987 10:10

Can you give me some hints for good places to buy SW in the Northern Mass
and South N.H. area? I friend of mine will be visiting there in
the near future and might be able to pick up some SW for me (the
prices are usually about 50% lower than here (Germany) and I prefer
    the documentation in English anyway).

So how about the typical prices for things like

    - Deluxe paint II

    - Lattice C

    - other favorite languages of yours

    - flight simulator

    - Superbase (or any other favorite database)

    etc.

Also, if you have used SW to sell for little $$'s I might be interested
    - games you're fed up with, tools you bought but really don't need
etc. (assuming the SW isn't completely worn out yet... :-)

Memory Location on Route 16 in Wellesley. Just west of the Route
9 and 16 overpass, and about a block west of the Playhouse on Route
    16. They are an exclusive Amiga hardware/software dealer.

281.2Pick and chooseCYGNUS::DEBRUYNTony - my AMIGA DOS it all for meThu Jan 29 1987 19:2515
Instant Software on route 2A in Acton still has some Amiga software
left for 50% of list price. Not much selection, but the price is
excellent. They say that they want to clear out to the walls before
restocking from a central orderlist for their four stores. When
I was there yesterday they still had copies of Deluxe Paint (II?)
and Deluxe Video for about $50. Also some games, a 5 1/2 " disk
drive w/transformer and some text adventure games. Similar deals
for Apple, ST, IBM etc. They also have a stock of misc items like
cables, telephones and phone supplies, stereo systems, CD players
and cheap CD's ($9.95), DVM's, color monitors and printers. They
had Amiga printer cables (DB25 to Centronics). Everything goes,
and they WILL negotiate. Be sure to check out all the boards and
stuff for missing chips. Like I said, not much Amiga stuff, but
worth a quick trip. They also just got ChessMaster 2000, $39.
