Does anyone know of any statistical packages for the Amiga? This is important to me because although I know for sure that I want an Amiga. My fiance, however, needs something on which to do regression analysis (yech!). Roy

Try looking in AmigaWorld or Amazing ...I've seen an ad for a Co. in Vermont that has such packages for the AMIGA.

LionHeart Software (PO Box 379, Alburg VT 05440 [514] 933-4918) has 15 packages for Amiga, IBM, Mac, and ST. The titles include... Business Statistics $145 Experimental Statistics $145 Package of above 2 $190 Multivariate Analysis $150 Exploratory Data Analysis $75 Statistics for Marketing $150 Forecasting and Time Series $145 Sales and Market Forecasting $150 Package of above 2 $145 Quality Control & Industrial $145 Experiments Decision Analysis Techniques $110 Linear & Non-linear Programming $95 Optimization $110 MonteCarlo Simulations $125 PERT & Critical Path Techniques $95 I do not own any of the titles, but I inquired a while back and they sent a nice little brochure explaining in detail each module. Each package is composed of a number of stand-alone modules. The fellow I spoke with on the phone seemed very knowledgable. I was interested in a 'MACPROJECT' type package, but they didn't have anything that a bonehead like me could use in a hurry.

Been a long time since anybody touched this note, so I thought I'd ask if anything has shown up for PD statistics packages on the net. I'm particularly interested in Multivariate Analysis. Thanks, Dick |
