Are the PAL and NTSC versions fully compatible? If I buy something
like Deluxe Paint in US, will it run on a European Amiga?
(The daylight robbers over here charge more than twice the IS
price for software; and even AmigaWorld costs about $10 in Germany).
The PAL Amiga is supposed to have 256/512 vertical resolution
vs. 200/400 of the US version.

Normaly the PAL and NTSC versions are fully compatible, so you can
run US-Software on your mashine.
But if you have the new Amiga version with the ROM's ther might
be some problems with software using the Kickstart 1.1 but all
programs which run under 1.2 are running on every Amiga.
