I thought that those of you who don't subscribe to comp.sys.amigia might find this interesting. >Newsgroups: comp.sys.amiga >Path: decwrl!decvax!ucbvax!ucbcad!ames!rutgers!husc6!seismo!mimsy!aplcen! > jhunix!ins_adjb >Subject: $895 Amiga >Posted: 15 Jan 87 16:39:55 GMT >Organization: Johns Hopkins Univ. I do not >know if this is a sale or regular price. > > Their number is 1-800-221-7774. >-- > -- Dan Barrett [email protected] > [email protected] This is a repeat of the price that 47th Street Photo had for the Amiga last Summer during the free monitor sale from Commodore. They had raised the price by about $150 after that sale went off. Some people in the Photo Notes file had problems with 47th Street Photo due to "gray market" cameras. However, I believe some people in the ST notes file purchased their computers from 47th Street with no problems. I would recommend asking there if you want more information.

Has anyone confirmed this price? In the NY Times ad for 47th St. Photo yesterday there was (I'm pretty sure) some fine print: "with purchase of monitor for $399" (or something like that). |
