247.0. "They're EVERYWHERE!" by HYSTER::DEARBORN (Trouvez Mieux) Wed Jan 07 1987 20:33
I was editing a videotape at Broadway Video in NY yesterday. When
I walked into the editing suite, what did I see? An Amiga with
a 2meg Alegra upgrade. It turns out that Commodore had been there
the day before, editing a promotional show. They took the RGB feed
from the Amiga and sent it directly to the video equipment. (I guess
that the equipment uses component RGB, or something.)
While editing my show, we played with the Amiga all day. One of
the editors has owned one for about a year, so we had a lot of stories
and tricks to swap. We talked the other editor into buying one,
too.
It was easy to get distracted from the work at hand tho. I wish
I could have seen what Commodore had done with it. I didn't feel
like pushing it tho, as it was probably non-disclosure stuff...and
so was my show.

247.1 | Edgar and Dazzle | AUTHOR::MACDONALD | | Thu Jan 08 1987 08:38 | 6 |
| I made a 2 hour video of output from the Dazzle program. Just plugged
the VCS into the RF port on back of the Amiga. Later dubbed in a
couple Edgar Varese albums as a sound track. Quite an unusual video!
