244.1 | A third, but temporary, source | TLE::RMEYERS | Randy Meyers | Tue Jan 06 1987 16:11 | 9 |
| Please see note 234.4.
In addition, for a limited time, the files can be found at
TLE""::UPORT$:[RMEYERS.JUGGLER]*.*
I can only guarantee the files' existence for a few more days. I
meant to delete them already, but I forgot. On the plus side, I
probably will forget to delete them again after the few days pass. :-)

Thanks Randy. I got Juggler from your area. The files mentioned in
234.4 had already been removed.

244.3 | More tidbits... | CHEF::ACCIARDI | | Fri Jan 09 1987 20:18 | 14 |
| I just read a couple of tidbits off of Compuserve...
1. The author of 'Juggler' has been contracted by Aegis to
do a commercial version.
2. Frames may be stored in fast ram and decompressed on the
fly, allowing enormous movies. (Will a hard disk be fast
enough to keep the frames coming in?)
3. Look for more demos in the near future. The author claimed
that they are not all that hard to do! Easy for him to
say!

244.4 | a new trick | HYSTER::DEARBORN | Trouvez Mieux | Thu Jun 25 1987 15:45 | 13 |
| Here is a trick I just read about...but haven't confirmed:
While running the juggler, if you press the J key several times,
and just at the right rate, the juggler will do a flip.
Sounds kinda fishy to me, and I haven't had a chance to try it.
Randy
ps Now there will probably be a lot of Amiga keyboards going back
to the shop to have their worn out J keys replaced. ;^)

Ummm.. I tried this trick for a half hour or so once, but couldn't
get the Juggler to backflip. Sounds like a hoax.
BTW, anyone have an extra 'J' key laying around?

244.6 | seems unlikely | SAUTER::SAUTER | John Sauter | Fri Jun 26 1987 09:04 | 11 |
| I suspect this is a hoax, because it doesn't sound reasonable.
The demo repeats after one second, and vary little changes from
one frame to the next. Even so, a lot of memory must be required.
Making the juggler flip over would require a second loop, at least,
and if it were done well he'd drop the balls, thus creating a lot
more complexity.
I think it could be done, but it would probably more than double
the memory requirements, even if he didn't drop the balls. That's
unlikely in a "hidden" feature.
