| Well, I stopped into the Bit Bucket today to drop off a copy of
'Juggler'. As soon as it came up, the entire store fell silent.
Then jaws began to drop. The Atari salesman said 'Holy Shit!'.
Some customers that were playing with an ST that had a very pathetic
looking picture of a dollar bill on the screen strolled over, shaking
their heads.
I picked up a copy of 'World Games', paid for it, and slipped
out quietly, hoping that nature would take it's course.

| I'll be sending you a blank floppy for my copy. I noticed this
program on PeopleLink this weekend, but really can't afford to download
it.
I have had very little luck downloading things from the VAX
too, regardless of how things are set before the transfer. I have
not figured out why I seem to have only a 50% success rate.

| I got a copy of it at the Memory Loacation yesterday. It's great.
Can't wait to see more of this. (try moving the mouse or typing
on the keyboard while it runs...seems to be a case of ST-itis, things
slow down...but only a little bit. Well at least it is a piece
of animation you will never see running on an ST with all those
colors at once! Take that Mr. Tramiel...you can copy the bouncing
ball, but not the juggler)

| Saw the Juggler today at the Electronic Boutique at Peasant Lane. Well,
actually, I saw an ST running a crude but effective demo consisting of 4
reflective balls circulating in a hypostrochoid sorta pattern. Obviously the
number of colors displayed was not very great and the granularity of the
animation was rather course. The Amiga next to it was displaying a blue screen.
However, my coconspirator and I instinctively reached for the control, left
Amiga and right Amiga keys. After a LIST and a DIR failed, I popped the disk,
which said Juggler on it. Typing JUGGLER brought up the help screen, ESC
started the demo. Within less than a minute (I love exaggerating, but this time
I don't have to) a crowd of about 15 people had gathered.

234.6 | Beginning to show what it can do... | HARRY::OSBORNE | Blade Walker | Mon Jan 05 1987 08:52 | 16 |
| Juggler is certainly a selling demo for the Amiga. What's amazing to me
is that it keeps all the images (although I think it's only 12, not
24) in memory, in packed form, and is unpacking them, page-flipping,
and playing a simple "boing" sound simultaneously.
Amiga is finally beginning to show its stuff. As an owner of an old
Apple ][+, circa 1976, I know that it takes a few years before software
that really pushes the hardware to its limit is developed, and ultimately
it is the software that really shows off what the system can do. Who
would believe that Flight Simulator would even run on a 65K machine
with a 6502 processor? Flight Simulator II is out for the Amiga, though
it's a port from the ST. It's quite a change from the Apple, but SubLogic
is supposed to be coming out with a comple Amiga version, and I can't
wait.

| Hi,
I have seen only two RTI's (via AMIGAZINE!) and they blew me away!
I regularly run these at my local store whenever I go in.
QUESTION: where can I find out more about what they are and how
they are produced?
Also, software takes ages to get down here ( probably due to USA
demand being so high) WE HAVEN'T EVEN GOT V1.2 RELEASED HERE YET
- but it sounds great. So I'd like to send you a floppy for juggler
what is your address?
Regards from Down Under

Thanks in advance and regards from DU

| Since everyone seems to be space limited (and I work in storage), Juggler
can (and for the foreseeable future will be) found in:
COOKIE::DISK$GZ_DISK:[WECKER.AMIGA]
along with many, MANY other goodies... feel free to think of it as a toolshed
(I think of it as my backup area).
