Hi folks, I just tried using C-Kermit from FISH disk 26 with a 1200/75 modem and could not set speed for 1200/75, only 1200/1200. Is there any way to get the split speed out of this program, short of hacking the code? Is setting split baud rates possible(easy) in Lattice V3.03? Any help would be appreciated, John Baker P.S Does Dave Wecker's VT100 support split speeds?

Somebody with the ROM Kernel Manuals beside them correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember correctly the serial driver itself does not support split speeds. -jim | |||||

Hi from DownUnder. re. .0: I agree - no, 1200/75 modems didn't go out with the ark! There are Bulletin Boards here including the public system called Viatel (=British Telecom's PRESTEL) that use them. I have a 1200/75 modem here at home and can go out tomorrow and buy commercial software capable of operating at the split speed. 300 baud (my only other option from home) is REALLY BORING!!! OK, so the serial driver doesn't support split speeds...is there any other way of achieving it? regards, Rob |
