Does anyone have any new information on the use of the LA75 on the Amiga? I am in the process of considering the Amiga (not an owner yet...) and the features vs. employee cost of the LA75 look hard to beat. Will the LA75 be compatable with any existing printer drivers? Is it a major chore to write a new driver? Is the LA75's parallel interface compatable with the Amiga? Stu Schmidt Calgary p.s. I have read note 94...looking for anything to add to it.

What is the employee price?
160.2 | Price (only in Canada you say) | CGOO01::S_SCHMIDT | Fri Nov 07 1986 11:00 | 16
I'm from Canada, so the dollars will definately be different, but if the U.S. uses the same 60% discount arrangement, simply substitute the appropriate numbers: Base Price 1013.00 - 60% Discount of 607.80 Subtotal 405.20 + Fed. Tax 87.00 Total 492.20 This is a VERY competitive price here in Canada, when you consider the abilities of the LA75, so I imagine that the U.S. price would work out to something appropriately lower...? $314.50 is the Employee Purchase price. They will be available in early December. Okay, who wants to write a driver for it? |
