142.0. "looking for SDB" by ANYWAY::BROWN (Doug Brown) Thu Oct 23 1986 09:19

    Does anyone have a copy of the data base program (SDB) that was
    shipped out on usenet a while ago?
      I have a feeling that this is a newer version of the small data
    base that a decie wrote for the PDT. If so,then it is a fair
    relational dta base for the price...

Sorry, I don't have it. If you cannot find it within DEC, refer to FISH lib.
It was on Disk #33. See attachement.
Ciao.
Marco

142.2fish disks are fine but...ANYWAY::BROWNDoug BrownFri Oct 24 1986 14:029
    Thanks, I'll look at the fisk disks.
    Now, aS TO THE FISH disks, I know of them and wnet looking for them
    not too long ago. According to the grape vine they are freely
    distributed to dealers. Well, I went to some dealers (I live in
    the boston area) and asked about the disks and all I received were
    some blank looks. They knew nothing about them.
    Does anyone in the boston area know where I can go to copy the disks?

    You might try:

    Computer Mart, Nashua NH.
    Memory Location, Wellesley, MA.

    Steve McAfee

    BTW Memory Location really does have a fantastic selection of Amiga
    software. They had some things I had never even seen before.

142.4Fish disks in Harvard SquareYAVIN::BERKSONFri Oct 24 1986 17:588

    Also - in Harvard Square - Computer Club. Located on a tiny street
    called Mifflin. Across from the Piccadilly Philly. They have the
    Fish disks and also Amicus disks. They'd like to charge you $1/disk
    for making copies, but maybe they'd waive that if you bought the
    disks or something else from them.

142.5More on Club ComputerTSE::FONSECACaught peeking under the rug of life...Fri Oct 24 1986 18:2320
Althought I prefer the Memory Location in Wellesely, Club
Computer does have one advantage, They stay open late. (I
think they stay open till 8:00 every weeknight but one.)

I'll add to the directions in .-1. Club Computer is located
behind the Brattle Theatre. If you are on foot, walk around
on the right side of the theatre, and down the alley
where Aljeres has tables in the summer. Club computer will
be on your left when the alley opens onto Mifflin Place.

They really only have one salesperson who knows anything about
the Amiga (think his name is Mike.) A funny sidestory: I
was in picking up a printer cable, and was illegally parked
outside, somebody came in and announced that a wrecker was starting
to deal with a Honda (mine as it turned out.) I ran out and
paid off the no-necks who were about to haul it away. Anyway
one of the owners of Club Computer (who you never deal with in
the store) came out and whipped out the biggest wad of money
I've ever seen, and peeled off a $20 for my troubles. They may
be corrupt, but at least they are honest! :-)
142.6thanks, how about debuggers?ANYWAY::BROWNDoug BrownMon Oct 27 1986 10:089
    Thanks for all of the pointers. I will try the memory location
    since it's just one town over.
      Now, one other question. Is there a debugger available for the
    amiga that is symbolic and displays source code in a window as the
    progerram executes? Or, let me rephase it, what is the best debugger
    available for the Amiga?
