136.0. "Graphics primitives and Intuition??" by CYCLPS::GIUSTI () Sun Oct 12 1986 17:35
[ questions, questions, questions ...]
Has anyone tried using the Amiga graphics primitives in conjunction
with Intuition?? For example, I'm trying to write a simple windowing
program that will open a superbitmap, gimmezerozero window that
has a three dimensional rotating cube. I can do this without a
hassle if I take over the entire machine, but that is not my goal.
I have tried to draw the cube using the graphics primitives PolyDraw
and Draw, but these don't work and I end up getting a visit from
my friendly neighborhood Guru. If I use the Intuition function
DrawBorder with the same coordinates, it works fine. I know, maybe
I should just use the Intuition functions and stop complaining,
but the graphics primitives are so much powerful. Also, I am trying
to sync the drawing of the cube with the video beam, but WaitTOF()
and WaitBOVP() destroy my entire screen. Does anyone know how to
use these primitives in a Intuition-managed window??
