November/December issue of Amiga World has a two page ad from
Electronic Arts up front. Perhaps its a hidden endorsement, but
of the 15 monitors shown in the ad, 12 of them are Sony 1311's.

There is a Public Domain utility called 'SETLACE' which turns on
the Amiga's Interlaced mode. I install this in all my root
directories, and add the command 'SETLACE' to my startup-sequence.
By dithering the verticle hold on my Sony, I can totally eliminate
the black horizontal bars in the shadow mask on the monitor, giving
me the most incredibly beautiful display I've ever seen. The text
is crystal clear, with no jitter, and no scan lines visible. I
think 'SETLACE' would even improve the text display on the 1080
monitor by painting 400 horizontal scan lines, rather than 200 lines.
