I'm using EDIT to join two lines [:2CL//]. The first line is the Execute command and the second line contains parameter names/values. Running interactively from the terminal is no problem. How can an EDIT session be run from a command file? When I attempt it in a command file - using Execute; the first command causes an error and then waits for input from the terminal. P.S. I don't want anything but AMIGA-DOS commands to accomplish this. Any hints on running EDIT in a "batch like" environment would be appreciated.

I have never tried this but I would suggest trying to redirect the input on the edit command. E.G. "EDIT <edit-command-file" If Amigados is consistent, then this sould look for edit commands in the file "edit-command-file". Good Luck, Steve McAfee

Although I don't know how to do it, it sounds like you need to tell AmigaDOS to look for command input elsewhere. brian
