    This emulator has been developped by CSS Annecy. It is compatible with 
    the "old" 2780/3780 protocol emulator for VAX VMS.

Product description
The 2780/3780 Protocol Emulator for OpenVMS Alpha emulates the synchronous 
line protocol used by IBM 2780 or 3780 remote batch terminals. The protocol 
emulator provides users with a mechanism for transferring data between the 
host operating system and another system equipped to handle 2780 or 3809 
communications protocols.
This product will enable existing 2780/3780 Protocol Emulator users operating 
on OpenVMS VAX systems to easily migrate to Alpha systems. The interface and 
functions of the Protocol Emulator for OpenVMS Alpha are identical to those 
for the OpenVMS VAX version. The following IBM terminal features are 
supported by the 2790/3780 Protocol Emulator for OpenVMS Alpha:
* 2780 extended and multiple record options
* Variable horizontal form control
* BSC transparency
* 3780 space compression
* BSC point-to-point configurations
