    Denny - I don't know if this is a hoax or what but if, indeed, Dinz is
    leaving, it'll be like losing a part of myself. I mean, when I attended
    my first and only Tiger-mania and rendevous'd at the Rat, I was handed
    a "Hello My Name is Jim Dinsmore" name tag to wear. As I roamed the
    floors of the establishment, I was introduced to Jim "JD" Dinsmore, Jim
    "/Don" Dinsmore, Jim "Walt" Dinsmore and a host of others. I even met
    Jim "Dan Schneid" Dinsmore. The only guy I had any idea was the Ninj
    cause he helped me get my ticket.
    
    So, Dinz, you who made me feel like the national spelling Bee champ, if
    it's what you want, best of luck to you.

Dinz is the guy who goaded me into starting the Giants notesfile.
Dinz is the guy who helped me realize that 38 is such a fine number.

Dinz is the only guy I know who could get excited at a go-go bar where
nobody takes their clothes off.


I remember Dinz when he was a Red Sox fan......  I remember Dinz at
Pudgy's too.....


Oh well, I suppose they have a lot of fish (marlin, sharks, whales)
at the Cape....

    	Hey DinZ, remember our first Manis�?  Remember the blonde with
    the white dress at Frankie's motel?  Remember running the tolls
    on the Garden State Parkway?  Remember reading Waddle's directions
    backwards on the way home and ending up at some Industrial Park
    in Joisey and the security guards running out of the building? 
    

       Slasher, Dinz told me you and Darryl were fibbin' about that

to watch the Giants/Pats on Sunday night.  Of course, I'll never forget
you ralphing all over my truck on the way home, either!

A classic, sure enough you were, a classic.   

Remember running with ya part of the way during the Tobins race in Maynard,
until that big guy passed out and I stopped to help him.  And the Manis.

    Geez, Dinz was the very first Sports Noter I ever met in person, and
    how he's leaving.  Damn.
    
    Dinz and I worked in the old South Lawrence location at the same time.
    I used to be able to go and personally harass him, which is even more
    fun than over the net.  'Course, I wasn't the only one who harassed
    him.  Shortly after his infamous "conversion" from a Sox fan to a
    Yankme fan, he started wearing an NY hat to work.  One day, one of the
    girls in his area took his hat and hung it in the Ladies Room.  Dinz
    was running around trying to find it, even accused ME of taking it. 
    Someone told him where it was, and all he could do was see it hanging
    way back in the Ladies room.  No one would go in and get it for him.
    He was frantic.  Hahahahaha
    
    Dinz, ole buddy, I'm gonna miss you.  Heck, I've missed you in notes
    for awhile, now.  Nobody, but nobody, besides you could get us going
    with your Shift Lock key in the wrong position, as you made such famous
    statements as "gO wHALE".

    Hopefully we'll see you at the Manis this year. I had some fresh broken
    glass put down on the basketball court for the annual 2 on 2 hoop
    rematch. But I heard you beefed up a little so I'll understand if you
    want us to spot you some points.
    
    Every now and then I think back to the great lunches I had to treat you
    to at the Elks club (You too, LeE). Boy, I sure miss those days...|^)

 Well for those of you who want one last kick, we're taking Dinz out July
 31 st. We're open to suggestions for a week and next friday we lock all the
 details. We want to start at a Pub/Fern Bar say from 5 to 9 and then after 
 9 those that want to join us can come to a TALC club. Any place like Boston
 Billards in the Maynard/Malbrough area? As that would be my first idea.

Actually, I had suggested the Other Place Pub in Boylston, since it's
closer to me.
