Conference 7.286::sports_91

    Used to be that several people from Parker Street used to go to the
    Will Dodd Community Center at lunchtime for hoops.  That was years
    ago...but if the place is still open to the public, or still taking
    'memberships', that would be a good place to check out.  Indoor court,
    locker room and showers.

    There is a court in the LKG parking lot.  We play on Tuesday's
    at 11:45.  Trying to get guys together for a second day a week,
    too.  You're welcome to join us, Doc.  We'll play down to your
    level to make you feel comfortable.

    Will Dodd's been closed to adults for about 3 years.  There's a nice
    outdoor court just down the street on Rt. 27 (5 minute walk from the
    Mill) where we've been playing for the last few years.  It's been very
    irregular this spring and summer, but we've been trying for Tuesday's
    and Thursday's.

    THere is a list of about 20 guys, but no more than 5 or 6 have

    	I've seen you shoot, and if you play like you shoot, I don't have
    a thing to be worried about.  That is unless you try that secret weapon
    stuff....what was it, Twinkies in the back pocket??  I'm also amazed
    that a guy your age can still get up and down the court, let alone
    talk about playing ME 1-on-1.  I think the heat and having to endure
    all those long hot nights in the Garden is getting to you.

    So then.  Doctor Quack-o'-holic is gonna play *basketball*?!  Hee hee
    haa !!  Somebody run down there and get me video a this, I'll pay good
    dough for a record (VCR format) a this spectacle.  Would have to be 
    something like Mike Ditka signing on as a "I'm OK You're OK" group
    facilitator!
    
    OoooOOOooohh how I'd luv to git some a you big-mouf' punks on the
    court!  I'd stomp Midnight to loosen up, bang lil' ACCrisp to tune up
    the 23 foot fadeaway and quick lane drives, cook ol' Nazz to a fine 
    burned toasty texture with the "Joe FACE!" masterful D, and finally 
    take poor Doug Ross downtown with the power baseline game.
    
    NorthEastCorridorCircleJerk (tm) go-to-school time.  And MrT will 
    deliver the lessons for FREE!  (Not counting emotional damage, a
    course)...

    I told you, Doc.  There's that red brick, abandoned school house 5
    minutes walk from the Mill on Rt. 27 - right near The Corner Store. 
    Very nice outdoor court.
