With all the fuss about dates and times at the moment, I was reminded
of a couple of Fortran date-manipulation routines from a DECUS Fortran
package (RSX SIG tape?) which I might be able to use as part of a Y2K
package...
Anybody remember MOONDATE ? Anybody got it online anywhere ? There were
also some companion time routines ("the big hand is on the three and
the little hand is straight down").
AltaVista outside and COMET inside don't find anything re MOONDATE.
Notes Altavista finds three references to the Catholic calendar :-)

MOONDATE takes a date and converts to text something like "Monday, the
twenty-fourth of February, in the year nineteen hundred and eightyfive.
The moon is waning full."
RSTS stardate was different.
