3957.0. "AliasZoo alias management utility (MAC$DISKS)" by SMURF::BINDER (Errabit quicquid errare potest.) Mon Feb 03 1997 12:49
ALIASZOO_V2_0_8.STUFFIT
There's not really a brief description of AliasZoo inthe documentation
so I'll give my own here.
AliasZoo is an excellent utility for managing aliases. It finds
aliases on any volume and validates them. It will try to reconnect any
that have come unstuck; you can have it do this with all of the found
aliases or any subset of them.
You can set preferences for how AliasZoo goes aobut its tasks,
including specifying where it will look, and whether it will attempt to
mount network volumes to resolve aliases that refer to them.
It also allows you to retarget aliases manually.
AliasZoo is $15.00 shareware, and worth every cent of it. It works
well on MacOS 7.5, and it has its own Apple Guide for documentation.
It's also AppleScriptable. (But I haven't ried scripting it.)
