Readme file:

This patch will update version 2.5v2 of the FreePPP Extension to 2.5v3.  The
only  change in version 2.5v3 addresses a problem in the receive code which
could cause  a Type 11 Error or hang while receiving data on very busy link. 
If you had Macsbug  installed the crash was reported as being in the getbuffer
routine.

If you don�t already have FreePPP 2.5v2 installed you can find links to the
full FreePPP 2.5v3 installer at <http://www.rockstar.com/>.

You can also find information about the upcoming release of FreePPP 2.6 on the 
Rockstar site.
