628.0. "SKI DOO PARTS NEEDED.. " by STOWOA::MCNULTY_M () Fri Feb 28 1997 08:16

    Does anyone know of any parts dealers that carry parts for older
    sleds?? Specificly Ski Doo's... I'm looking for a piston, rings,
    and head gasket for a 1972 SKI DOO TNT 775. The engine numbers
    are Rotex GMBH #2340212, Bore 2X82mm, Stroke 73mm, 771cc. Made
    in Austia. I've called all the dealers in note 51 and no one could
    help. By the way it's the left side piston as your sitting on the
    sled. Thanks in advance..

628.4Well, good question.. PTOSS1::MATSCHERZTue Mar 04 1997 16:0513
    Well,
      If you've got a pc then you might be in luck. I've never used the
    dec newsgroup server (I hear there is more than one). I have a ISP
    provider that I connect with from home and the laptop. Actually all you
    really need is a server (either in Digital or outta it) that has the
    newsgroup on it and you need either Netscapes newsreader or Microsofts
    Internet explorer. I use both actually. In the server setup field you
    need to know the newsgroup server.. (I have no idea what they are..
    maybe someone else in here knows that ..) Then all you do is subscribe
    to the server and Ta-da. You're set to read lots of great crash and
    burn posts ! (that's most whats been posted this year it seems .. )
