I have a friend that has a Performa 5215. It's the PowerPC performa,
sound, cd, monitor and modem in a single box. Well, now he wants to
upgrade the modem, and we can't find anything on availability. Does
anyone have a good pointer?

Global Village makes the Comm Port modems used in
the 5215 system. Your friend can buy one from most
mail order companies. MacWharehouse and MacConnection
should both carry them. With a the FREE firmware upgrade
this modem will run at 33.6kpbs
