A customer has a concern around security, and is seeking
clarification.
Assuming they have the PCM connected to a terminal server, connected
to the console port of a UNIX host.
IF PCM goes down, what's to stop someone on the network telneting to
the terminal server, and hence straight into the UNIX console. If,
say, the UNIX box was in single user or at the console prompt, this
could be quite a security hole.

This has been discussed in various notes... look at 1471
It's down to which terminal server you are using...
Basically could you enable port security passwords, so that if
DTE was lost then a password would be prompted upon connection ?
I've done this on ATOM terminal servers. The only down side was that
you had to connect to the port and then enter in the password before
you would be able to monitor the port for events.
There maybe a way that you could automate this perhaps.
