Can someone tell us if the latest patch is any good:
alexws::'DISK$PUBLIC:[PCM.UNIX_401]patch401.tar'
We've tried to copy it twice now and both times get the same results:
tsc.csc.cxo.dec.com> tar -xvf patch401.tar
blocksize = 128

tar: patch401.tar : This doesn't look like a tar archive
tar: patch401.tar : Skipping to next file...
If this patch is no good, could someone please fix it. We have several
customers waiting to receive this patch.
And.....could someone please tell us if ALEXWS is the correct place to
get this patch. This system seems to be unavailable more often than
it is available. Please let us know if there is a more appropriate
source of patches.

| Do not use the patch. It is clearly not ready for general availability
since you can't untar it. When I get the word directly from CA that a
patch is ready, I move it to CSC32::PCM$KITS:. I will chekc wit CA and
post a note.
