1520.0. "Unconnected telnet ports seen as connected" by EVTOMS::WILLAY () Tue Apr 15 1997 10:29
Hy,
I've got a strange problem with PCM X1.7 on Digital Unix 4.0b
unsing Telnet to connect systems on DS700.
For some SYSTEMS, PCM doesn't connect the DS700 port who remains
idle, but see the console like "active" (system icon white on
the display). Any commands like CONNECT or MONITOR work fine but
no answer from the console (It seems logic!).
If I do manually:
#telnet DSNAME PORTNUMBER, I can connect to the console without
any problem...
Any clue is welcome,
Thierry Willay

1520.1 | Hidden parameters | EVTOMS::WILLAY | | Mon Apr 21 1997 02:53 | 7 |
| Hy,
Problem exposed in -1 was corrected by increasing hidden
parameters (PCM>set hidden) Console Open Timeout to 30s and
Telnet Status Timeout to 30s.
