Instructions on the installation of the
patch V1.6-312 of the Console Mananager.
1. Extract the tar file to the temporary directory.
2. Copy the following files to the directory /usr/opt/DCR160/bin/OSF.
console
console_archive
console_c3
console_conmon
console_control
console_dialog
console_editcc
console_editm
console_ensd
console_eventlist
console_eventsingle
console_extract
console_status
console_verify
console_watch
consoled
3. Change the protection of the image 'console'.
# chmod 4555 /usr/opt/DCR160/bin/OSF/console
4. Copy the .uid files
console_eventlist_en_GB.uid
console_eventlist_en_US.uid
console_history_en_GB.uid
console_history_en_US.uid
to the directory
/usr/opt/DCR160/lib/X11/uid/OSF.
5. Copy the console_startup file to the directory /sbin and
set the appropriate protection for it.
# chmod 544 /sbin/console_startup
6. Copy the libconsole.a file to the directory /pcm/build/lib.

PCM V1.6-312:
o permits to an user with privilege to unlock consoles prevent unlocking of
his console(s) by other (non-system) user with the same privilege.

o solves the problem with the color changing of the peripheral icons
according to the event priority;
multiple extract problems (looping, /SINCE qualifier default value etc.);
monitor (logging, "find time", ACCVIO after restart PCM) problems;
ENS filtering misfunction in case of 'All Groups' option selected;
reconfigure hangs problems;
o solves C3 interface problems - a) ACCVIO when user's C3 DataBase contains
groups he has currently no access to
according to his PCM DataBase records,
b) ACCVIO on VMS after issuing WATCH ALL
command;
c) "/NO_EDIT" qualifier misfunctioning;
d) EXTRACT motif problems on UNIX;
e) "/READ_ONLY/NO_EDIT" problem;
