Hello, Some years ago you had RS232 cable with a switch. - May we yet order it ? - Is this also available for DEC423 ? When you connect / remove this cable because you want to use a terminal instead of PCM, do we take some risks there or is it problem free ? Could a HSJ crash or hang by doing this ? Thanks in advance, Alain.

If your referring to the T switch, I was told: it's a Digital part number but you have to get it from Logistics as it has a 17 class part number. It's not in the Open DECConnect catalog. The part number is: 17-01314-01

Thanks. Does it also exist for DEC423 ? Has someone experience problem when connecting/removing cables? Alain.

You simply have to use the necessary DECConnect adapters. There are several notes on this subject with complete info. Regs, Dan |
