Has anyone used PCM to manage Sequent? My customer is trying it out, but can't get a console prompt. cheers, Greg

Can you tell us more about the Sequent console port? Does it meet the following 3 requirements: 1 RS232 or DEC423 physical configuration 2. Ascii character set 3. XON/XOFF flow control and data buffering. If it does then PCM can manage it. Your next hurdle is to get the correct cabling config and setup the decserver port properly - just like any other system. Well BT have got it semi-working know, they get into the console, but in their words, it appears as if something has locked out the console. Sequent say this is unsupported, so has anyone, anywhere in the world got PCM managing Sequent boxes? Any idea who I could pass this request onto in CA for an official response? Cheers, Greg |
