In your case you want to sell the customer one license per each managed
system. All PAKS are installed on the PCM engine. No licenses are
installed on the managed systems. With activity based licensing PCM
requires 100 license units per managed system so you could have one
PAK generated with the correct number of license units. This makes it
easy on the customer as they only install the one PAK.
> If possible, would the customer loose some functionality?
Not at all.
>Another doubt, does PCM supports Unix 4.0?
V1.7 will support DUnix 4.0. This release is due out in March.
> Digital still can sell PCM, right?
Absolutely!!! Your customer can also purchase a service and support
contrat with Digital. Please make sure they know that!!

Dan
Thanks in advance,

| Hi Dan,
so could I multiply the price of the concurrent license per 7
(the number of Alphas)?
Will this work? If not, what would be the idea for concurrent
license?
Thanks,
Cristina.

Correct. The general rule of thumb is you must have one concurrent
use pak per managed system. Alternatively you can have a single
unlimited use pak whihc will let you manage up to the supported
limit of 200 systems.

| And you will also needs PAKS for the RS6000 and Sparcstation machines
if the intent is to manage those systems from PCM.
