My customer just install the BRSOMS V1.4, It includes PCM V1.6. Customer wants to know what events are created after installation, I know there may be hundreds of events for any scan profile, can someone show me where I can find? The customer has VAX6000,VAX7000,HSC and HSJ profile in use. Thanks, Sunny

As mentioned before, the scan profiles are located on the VMS Freeware CD. The systems you've listed should all have valid scans there. The new stuff, however, is poorly represented. The HSJ stuff could use some work, the HSC scans may not properly reflect the latest iteration of the HSC O/S, CRONIC (Version 8.5 for the HSC40/65/70/90/95?). The scan profiles for the most part work well, but there will always be some "tweaking" that can be done to make them work better as things change. The events are part of the scan profiles... bob

Thnaks for the response, I know where are those profiles, what I like to know is the detail events in those profile that PCM is monitoring, such as the %CNXMAN - the connection manager's message, %PAA0 - the CI port driver's message........., Are there anyway that I can show all those events from VAX6000/7000/HSC/HSJ profiles..? Thanks Sunny

Have you tried using the configuration editor? Thats the tool for modifying/examining all config data. You could even export the configuation to a text file via the EXPORT function of the editor. And no you cannot export just the event data. Regs, Dan |
